Furniture Veneering by Masiv
The current design trend is for materials that are as natural as possible: wood, stone and so on. Stylish interiors use not only solid wood but also veneered panels. They harmoniously combine the aesthetic appeal of solid wood with the convenience of a panel format. In addition, panels are more practical in everyday use. Their range of applications is very wide: interior doors, cabinet furniture fronts, wall panels and partitions.
Veneered Wall Panels
For furniture making, Masiv uses high-quality veneered panels made of:
- moisture-resistant MDF;
- plywood;
- particleboard.
The panel core is covered with a thin slice of wood from the following species: oak, ash, European walnut, American walnut, rosewood, Karelian birch or zebrano - depending on the client's order.
Furniture veneer is pressed onto the sheet at high temperature. The material is then sanded, after which it is ready for further processing. Our craftsmen handle cutting, edge banding, drilling, joining of parts and so on.
Wall veneer can be finished with lacquer, a stain (based on natural oils) or paint. This gives it the desired color as well as additional protection against various adverse factors - moisture, dampness and temperature changes. Both stain and paint are always topped with lacquer. Each batch of veneer differs from the others in pattern, texture and shade due to the natural properties of the particular wood. The edging is made from the same wood as the veneer surface.
